We Are Active Investors: Lodge Capital provides capital for property developers. Lodge functions as the "hub" of a wheel, with each of its various partners representing "spokes". Our partners each have their own focus and are not competitors to one another. In fact, our experience shows there can often be very attractive synergies between our partners.

We Are Proactive With Management: In addition to capital and hands-on operational experience, our in-house team brings skills in a number of diverse areas, including human resources, law and finance to the table. We can proactively assist in specialized areas that management teams do not particularly enjoy or have expertise in; for example: new systems implementation; tax effective structuring; litigation management; and regulatory compliance. We often act as a sounding board -- and are particularly agile in assessing and closing customized transactions. Int the result, our partners have built their businesses and achieved extraordinary performance.

What We Are Not: We are not seeking to replace existing financial partners. In fact we are attracted to situations where there are significant "hard dollars" already invested by our partners and we are asked to supplement this investment. We do not micro-manage our partners; in fact, we are attracted to self-sufficient partners which already have created a certain amount of goodwill, and we will actively help them building their existing brand. In this sense, we are often a financial partner "behind the scenes" which is backing a more well-known developer.

Our Long-Term Outlook: Lodge Capital acts as a principal investing our own capital, so we do not have the short-term focus that many others are required to take. Our interest is the long-term success of the business, which aligns with the focus we wish for in senior management. We also work at having friendly, respectful relationships with all of our partners – so we tackle business challenges together, as a team – and have fun doing so.
